Mark Peterson earned his master's and doctorate in East Asian studies from Harvard University and taught Korean studies at Brigham Young University for more than 30 years. Currently retired, he holds the title of professor emeritus at Brigham Young University.
He has 150,000 subscribers and the name of his channel, 'Frog Out of the Well', is a twist on the proverb 'Frog in the Well', and is said to have been created in the hope that he, a foreigner (frog), could look at Korean history (outside the well) from a different perspective.
